VIDEO TIMELINE |
|
| |
The videos you are about to watch are just a sample of the 120 hours that were originally streamed on www.symphonyofacity.org during the 2001 Boston Cyberarts Festival.
During the presentation, 8 diverse people from a homeless person to a multi-millionaire landlord donned wearcams (small headset mounted cameras) for an entire day and
documented life from their eye view. The project focuses on two themes community building and housing.
The wearcam participants were chosen because they present varying perspectives on one of these themes. Their video was streamed unedited in real time on the web site and projected on
Boston City Hall. We were unable to leave the live video stream running indefinitely due to a lack of access to bandwidth. In
order to provide a sense of what the original project was like, we have edited down the 120 hours of video footage that the wearcam participants generated into an interactive timeline.
